In order to reduce bandwidth so that all videos run smooth for all users, we compress the video streams on our dashboards. In this article, you can find the so-called video profile we use for the different parts of the dashboards, and the specifications of that profile.

Internet requirements

We recommend good bandwidth for upload for streaming video with at least 5 Mbps but preferably higher.

Used video profiles

Moderated sessions

  • Slides or screen sharing for attendees and speakers in audience view: 720p_3

  • The camera profiles depend on whether speaker mode or panel mode are used, and how many speakers there are in the panel:

    • 1-2 speakers: 480p_8

    • 3-9 speakers: 240p_4

    • 10-15 speakers: 180p_1

  • Moderators have a list of speakers on the right. Those will be streamed in 120_p1.

Hosted sessions

  • Slides or screen sharing for attendees and speakers in audience view: 720p_3

  • If slides or a screen is shared, the host streams in 240p_4 and the attendees in 180p_1.

  • If no screen is shared, the host and attendees are in the main frame. The camera profile depends on how many people there are:

    • 1-2 speakers: 720p_1

    • 3-4 speakers: 360p_1

    • 5-9 speakers: 240p_4

    • 10-16 speakers: 180p_1
